Sustainability & Social Responsibility
As a manufacturer and retailer, we take our environmental and social responsibility very seriously and we are always seeking to improve our impact on the environment and to promote healthy body positivity and empowerment.
Material
We use recycled material wherever possible.
In fact your bikini is made from 78% Recycled ECONYL.
Econyl is regenerated nylon made from waste nylon such as fishing ropes that would otherwise end up in land fill or polluting our oceans. Nylon can be recycled over and over again without reducing its quality or performance. So it is a win-win, reduced waste, no virgin fossil fuels needed and overall Econyl production is more eco friendly than virgin nylon (less CO2 emissions).
All other material and trims are sourced as locally as possible (currently all EU) to limit supply chain CO2 emissions as much as we can.
Packaging
We aim to use as little packaging as we can to get your new swimwear to you in perfect condition whilst limiting our impact on waste and carbon usage. Ultimately it’s what’s on the inside that counts.
All of our packaging is to be sustainable, reusable, recyclable or compostable.
Our swing tags are made from recycled non laminated card and are fully recyclable.
Our protective wrapping and stickers are made from recycled paper and water based ink so are recyclable and compostable.
Our mailing bags are plant based, plastic free and can either be re-used or composted at home or put out with your food or green waste collections.
We know mailers aren't quite as pretty to receive as a luxe box but mailers educe the weight and potential “dead space” in the package that can add to the carbon footprint of delivery – the smaller the package, the less delivery trucks you need.
Delivery
We have chosen Royal Mail for our delivery fulfilment because, as at June 2023, they have the lowest reported emissions per parcel in the UK.
Not only that, should you need to return anything to us and use Royal Mail, your Royal Mail postie can collect it on their usual round so no additional trips to the post office required (unless of course you want to drop it off yourself – see our delivery and returns policy).
Social Responsibility
We aim to promote body positivity for everyone.
We do not edit or enhance our models in the photographs on our website or on our social media channels.
Our bikinis are designed to empower women with fuller cups to wear a bikini and feel, confident that they have the coverage and support they want from their swimwear.
